Maaike was sworn in in 2014 and joined Dirkzwager legal & tax in 2017. She studied Law at the University of Utrecht and completed the Postgraduate Course in Employment Law (PALA) in 2020 cum laude.
Maaike has broad experience in both types of cases and clients, with a clear focus on healthcare employment law and integrity issues. She not only consults with HR professionals, but also acts as a legal sparring partner for the boardroom. Given her criminal law background, Maaike frequently advises and litigates in cases taking place at the intersection of employment and criminal law. Thanks to her extensive litigation experience, Maaike not only knows how to advise her clients and how to strategise on an issue, but she does not shy away from proceedings. Maaike not only assists (large) healthcare institutions, but also frequently acts as a lawyer for large and medium-sized companies within the profit sector. Thanks to her many years of experience, Maaike is well aware of the sector-specific issues and challenges facing entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals, but thanks to her multidisciplinary approach, she also knows where to find her colleagues from the Health Care and Corporate Law practice groups.
