Biography

Robin joined Dirkzwager in 2019 and has been a lawyer since 2022. She specialises in employment law with a focus on civil service law and (international) labour mobility.

In particular, Robin advises and litigates on:

  • (International) labour mobility issues, for example on working with self-employed persons, 'workcations', frontier workers or home working policies.

  • (International) secondment and agency arrangements.

  • Special regulations applicable to government employers (CAO Municipalities, Civil Servants Act, integrity requirements, etc.).

  • Applicability or concurrence of collective labour agreements.

  • Dismissal cases, including in relation to integrity violations, theft or violation of non-competition clauses.

Her clients include government employers, scale-ups and (medium-)large national and international companies in, among others, the (sustainable) energy and healthcare sectors. In addition, Robin works on an occasional basis for private individuals, where you can think of assisting (statutory) directors or (non-statutory) civil servants.

Robin's working method is characterised by her down-to-earth, accessible approach that is tailored to her client's organisation and the specific issue. Sometimes an hour of sparring is sufficient, sometimes more extensive advice or A to Z guidance is needed. Robin's approach is pragmatic, without losing sight of the legal analysis.

Work highlights
  • Delivering an international mobility policy for a network operator.
  • Shaping a large-scale, mutual secondment arrangement for two large healthcare institutions.
  • Successfully advising and guiding a large municipality on a public liability claim.
