Biography
Milou is a lawyer in the Healthcare & Social domain sector. She focusses on data protection law in healthcare and classic healthcare law (patients rights, medical disciplinary law and law on the quality of healthcare). With her knowledge of both data protection and healthcare law, Milou provides all types of healthcare providers, healthcare associations, municipalities and public health services with allround practical advice. Milou also advises and, if necessary, litigates on all kinds of healthcare law issues. She is well acquainted with the Dutch frameworks on patients rights and the quality of healthcare. Milou assists healthcare providers in complaints and dispute procedures and individual healthcare providers during disciplinary procedures.
In addition to her work as a lawyer, Milou is conducting research as an external PhD candidate at Radboud University. She is investigating the use of electronic health data for scientific research under the European Health Data Space-regulation.
