Biography
Maarten specialises in energy law. Maarten joined Dirkzwager as a lawyer in 1999. He became a partner at Dirkzwager in 2011. Maarten heads the energy department. Maarten advises on (international) energy law and regulations in the field of electricity, gas and heat. Maarten has extensive experience in providing legal guidance and advice on the realisation, purchase and sale of renewable energy projects. Maarten also advises on contractual and regulatory aspects relating to closed distribution systems, cable pooling, energy storage, power purchase agreements and grid connections. In 2010-2011, he successfully completed the Energy Law course at the University of Amsterdam. Maarten is a member of the Dutch Association for Energy Law and sits on the board of the Generation-E foundation.

Our energy specialist group advised Danish project developer Obton A/S on the purchase, realisation and sale of a land-bound 44 MWp PV system on a former golf course in Harderwold. Buyer of this project is part of the CEE group.
