As part of the new collaboration, Dirkzwager will support the restoration of the sculpture 'Mobile Home for Kröller-Müller' (1995) by Joep van Lieshout. Blending art, architecture and design, the piece offers a thought-provoking perspective on current housing and construction challenges.

Preserving cultural heritage

Earlier this month, Benno Tempel, director of the Kröller-Müller Museum, and Ronald van Wetering, chair of Dirkzwager’s board, formalised the partnership with an official signing. A concrete outcome of the collaboration is the restoration of 'Mobile Home', during which the wooden structure will be reinforced and signs of damage will be carefully repaired.

A different view on housing

'Mobile Home' challenges how we approach housing and urban development. At Dirkzwager, housing is one of the core societal themes within our strategische positioning. The firm is closely involved in addressing legal and fiscal complexities in the construction sector. Innovation and alternative approaches are key to answer to current challenges and opportunities in the housing sector. This artwork aligns perfectly with that vision.
