Biography
Christel is an experienced lawyer and associate partner at Dirkzwager. With more than 20 years of experience in intellectual property law, Christel specialises in IP contract law. Her expertise covers a wide range of services, including supervision of research & development processes, drafting of cooperation and licensing agreements, and restructuring of intellectual property rights within corporate groups. As an expert in copyright, trade secrets, patent, trademark and design rights, Christel provides sound advice and conducts effective legal proceedings on behalf of her clients. Her clients consist mainly of medium-sized and mid-cap companies, knowledge institutions and hospitals seeking specialised legal assistance. Christel started her career in the legal profession in 2001 at Dirkzwager, where she worked in the IP/IT section until 2007. She then further developed her IP/IT practice from 2008 to 2016 at another renowned law firm. During the period from late 2016 to early 2018, she held the position of legal counsel at Wageningen University & Research. Since 2018, Christel has returned to Dirkzwager's IP/IT section, where she uses her extensive knowledge and experience to effectively assist her clients.
